The fashion industry is what started in modern fashion clothing. Before 1957, most fashion clothing was tailored by individuals, tailored by tailors. But later, when machines were involved in tailoring or sewing machines, and the world entered the capitalist system, there were department stores, and clothes were produced in large quantities, in the same size and at the same price, the fashion industry truly began. In addition, the fashion industry was influenced by communication that was developed simultaneously, whether it was print media, radio, television, or the current era of the Internet. However, in the early days of the fashion industry, it started in Europe, then in America, and up until the present era, the fashion industry was designed in one country, but production and distribution were done in another country. For example, fashion produced by fashion companies in the United States was designed domestically, but produced in China, Vietnam, or Sri Lanka, and then brought back to the country and distributed the products around the world again.

The fashion style in Thailand is mostly influenced by the population from East Asian countries, such as fashion culture from China, Japan, South Korea. Examples of current fashion in East Asia are due to various reasons such as artist craze, products from China are cheaper than fashion products in Thailand, and technological culture trends. Fashion culture in Thailand is not very developed due to the problem of labor shortages, as the minimum price is too high for the industry to compete with fashion products flooding in from China. When there are mostly products with Chinese, Japanese, or South Korean cultures, fashion in Thailand has the characteristics mentioned above.
